If you want to replace the LCD on your Razr M you can easily do so by following the beginning of the video to remove the front section of the phone. From there simply use heat and a pry tool to remove your broken screen and install the new one. Sometimes the replacement screen will not come with adhesive so you might also wish to purchase the Pre-cut 3M Adhesive Sticker Strip Tape for Motorola Droid RAZR M XT907 which has already been cut to the proper dimensions for this phone. Be sure not to block the area where the camera and proximity sensor windows are located on the replacement screen. If you have any trouble locating these hold your new screen in front of a light and look for the areas which are clear or colored lighter than the rest of the display. These need to be able to transmit light through the lens without being blocked.

I recommend mounting the LCD without adhesive first in order to test its functionality before you add any adhesive. This way you can address any problems that might occur before you complete the installation. Once you install the new LCD on your Razr M it will be difficult to remove it and there is always a possibility that you might damage it with too much prying so be sure to test everything before you stick it back together.

To perform this repair you should have both a T-4 and T-5 Torx drivers, pry tools and a heat gun. If you don’t have a heat gun you can substitute a blow dryer set to high heat. You can also follow this videos instructions to perform a board swap for your Motorola Droid Razr M XT907.
